Play Dirty — Mark Wahlberg's stunt double

Chase Armitage with Mark Wahlberg and Glen Powell on the Play Dirty set

This had to be one of my favourite movies to work on, for a lot of reasons.

Living in Bondi Beach for four months was high on that list. A ten-minute bike commute to work didn’t hurt either. But it was the film itself, the stunt team — who become family — the daily training, and the Aussie lifestyle that made it special.

The work was stacked. Multiple fight scenes, a big wire high fall, smashing through glass, car chases, drifting classic cars, gunfights. Looking back, it was jam-packed. I’m surprised I made it out in one piece.

Off set we managed a few adventures as a stunt family. Abseiling in the Blue Mountains is a memory I’ll keep for life. Australia is one of my favourite countries, and I have Mark Wahlberg to thank — twice — for taking me under his wing and trusting me with his action.

Check out the trailer below. If you haven’t already, the movie is out now on Prime Video.
