Official Formula G Street Champion of 2026

This weekend saw the final two rounds of Formula G at Santa Pod Raceway, and the competition was heating up — pro drivers from across the country battling it out for the championship titles in both Street and Pro class.

I'd been on form all year, with plenty of first-place wins and podium finishes across all six rounds. But none of that mattered unless I delivered this weekend. I had to bring it home to guarantee the championship — and I did just that.

The two days couldn't have been more different: completely different courses and completely different weather. I wasn't going to be caught out, so I studied the forecast and made sure I had both wet and dry tyre options ready to go.

Day one started OK, but as it went on it got wetter and wetter. By the time we came to compete it was pouring down and the course was soaked. It made for some epic driving — and some dramatic photos. I took the win against a lineup of dedicated Street class cars, then entered Pro class against all the modified cars and pulled off first place there too, in my close-to-stock E90 M3.

Day two was just as good to race. The weather was lovely, perfect conditions, and after all the battling was done I finished with two second places, in both Pro and Street class. That made it the best weekend result of my whole time in Formula G.

Knowing that at the end of it all I'd been crowned the 2026 Formula G Street Champion was a highlight of my year.

The car really was incredible. With only a hydraulic handbrake and some engine cooling mods, it has blown me away, beaten my expectations and shown everyone that you don't mess with an M car — they're made different. I might be looking at adding yet another M car to the stable for next year, and finally putting the E90 M3 on a weight-loss programme for the next series it enters.

Special thanks to everyone at Formula G for organising the most fun precision driving and drifting competition around. It was great to have so many of the UK's professional stunt drivers competing, and I know next year is going to be even more epic.
